How would you handle these emergencies:
Each recall brings a never-ending list of questions and problems to solve: What should you do? Who’s responsible? Will your people act fast enough? What if someone forgets to take the product out? What if a recalled product gets sold? Are we at risk for injuries? Who is keeping a record? Who’s tracking where the product went? Who’s co-ordinating collection? Why no two recalls are the same: Even when there is a recall plan in place, follow through is difficult. A great percentage involve foreign food companies. Too often recall instructions come with conflicting instructions. Often a recall is not the major responsibility of one person. Nearly always something unforeseen occurs.
